Description
We are looking to expand our team by hiring an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Team.
You will be working closely with our hands-on technical co-founder in a smart team of developers building state-of the-art DLT-based FinTech platform for interbank intraday lending.
We embrace Agile principles and follow Scrum framework. We write re-usable, functional clean code and automate our integration and deployment using Azure Devops, Docker, Kubernetes and Terrraform.
This is a 100% remote long-term contract position. Preferred timezone is UTC to UTC+4.
Recruitment process:
- Short call with recruiter from hireplace.it (~15 min)
- Intro call – up to 30 minutes: company insight and CV review + 2-3 technical questions 💎

Responsibilities
- Focus on scalability and reliability.
- Think about systems - their edge cases, failure modes, and life cycles - how to improve the long-term reliability and scalability of Finteum platform.
- Design, build, and maintain core services and infrastructure.
- Participate in operations (on-call rotation once in production).
- Help debug, improve and optimize Finteum’s services and infrastructure.
- Build and maintain highly available systems responsible for service deployment & telemetry across production environments.
- Architect and manage secure, scalable infrastructure utilizing Kubernetes to support our external and internal use cases.
- Develop tools to enable other engineers such as CI/CD pipelines, container schedulers, and custom applications.
- Debug complex issues and performance problems throughout the stack
Requirements
- An ideal candidate for this role will have at least three years of either backend development or devops (or both) experience, as well as some or all of:
- Experience managing highly-available distributed systems.
- Demonstrated success building systems that meet requirements around monitoring, stability, and scalability.
- Experience in building and using tracing/logging/monitoring tools and platforms
- Deep familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) at scale.
- Experience working with a cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCE).
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform.
- Knowledge/understanding of cloud networking concepts (virtual networks, subnets, loadbalancers, service endpoints, proxies, firewalls etc)
- Knowledge of corda enterprise deployment would be a huge plus
